Mission Statement: The DDCC Early Learning Center exists to provide a safe, developmentally appropriate environment for preschool age children. Our focus is to provide a stimulating early care and education experience, which promotes each child's social/emotional, physical and cognitive development. Our goal is to support children's desire to be life-long learners.

We, at the DDCC Early Learning Center, believe it is important to begin early as it pertains to teaching our children.  President Obama echoed this sentiment, during a recent public address concerning Pre-K programs.  We do not desire to start a program which re-introduces the same failed principles to the children.  Instead, we want to return to various tried and true methods, in concert with a better understanding of new teaching techniques which are known to work.   We would like to teach by using a, “hands on” method, which utilizes active involvement on the part of each child.  We are not saying that we have all the answers, to the contrary.  We simply desire to try another approach, one that allows children to learn at their own pace.  We want to start something that will be seen as another option when it comes to how children learn.  We believe that children learn best by doing.  We believe that children learn by putting their hands and their minds, to work.

OUR MOTTO

Motto: Start early and raise the B.A.R. as it pertain to how children are educated, that our children may reach their full potential.

Raise the B.A.R.:

Building children through active learning techniques which will motivate them to learn by incorporating a, “hands on” approach to teaching.

Activate the children’s potential to learn through active involvement with people, materials, ideas, and events.

Require children to “Reach for Success”, by allowing them to progress in sync with their individual level and pace
